A resource for finding information related to aviation studies at Central Washington University.

General Materials

FAA Decisions - the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration serves, in consultation with the Department of Transportation Office of Adjudication on civil appeals cases.  This site may be searched by subject, terms, and case name or number.

FAA Regulation & Policies - includes advisories & guidance, forms, FAA regulations, handbooks & manuals, orders & notices, pilot records database, policy & guidance, draft regulatory documents, and top tasks. 

Interagency Aviation Training (AIT) - Interagency Aviation Training is the website home for the Department of the Interior (DOI), U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service (USDA-FS) and partner organizations. It offers aviation training, including information about upcoming events and courses. 

The Journal of Air, Law, & Commerce - available online through NexisUni (must have a CWU account to access remotely).

National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) - Dedicated to supporting a robust aviation system in the United States, NASAO is an organization that represents the interests of the public before policymakers in matters related to aviation and airports. 

Case Law and Regulations


Aviation Law is highly regulated14 CFR (title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations) is the area covering the FAA.  New regulations are first announced in the Federal Register and at as well as on the FAA site  Special Federal Aviation Regulations (SFAR) are included.  See also the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations.
