What are microforms?

Microforms are any print item that has been photographed and printed at a much smaller scale on either paper or plastic, and can be viewed on what is known as a reader.  Brooks Library holds three kinds of microforms:

Microfiche -- transparent sheets of film, usually 4" x 6"

sheet of microfiche

Microfilm -- transparent rolls of film

Microprint (also known as microcard) -- opaque white cards
