Most of our books are arranged by Library of Congress (LOC) number. The University of Michigan provides this helpful guide to reading LOC numbers so you will be able to find them on the shelves.

These maps to Brooks Library may help. LOC numbers starting with A through J are on the 3rd floor, K-Z on the fourth. Maps are mainly in Government Publications, Maps, and Microforms on the 3rd floor. For more help, ask a librarian!

Current Geographical Publications (CGP) is an open access, non-profit service to the scholarly community initiated in 1938 by the American Geographical Society of New York. The index was produced in print between 1938 and 2003. It was available online for a short while but access to that was suspended. Beginning in 2006, the format changed to include the tables of contents (TOC) only. The journal titles listed below link to the current issue's TOC
