Re-mixing OER

Instructions on and examples of how to re-mix an OER and create your own personal pedagogical tool.

Determining the License

Determine the license of the OER

The license of the OER is important.  Not every OER has a license that allows re-mixing.  It needs to have the correct Creative Commons (CC) license or be in the public domain.  Some CC licenses are CC ND which means no derivatives, which means it cannot be re-mixed.  The various OER sites make it easy to find the license so it can be determined if the book can be used in this way.
