International Students - Library Guide

Welcome! The resources and tools on this guide will help you succeed in your assignments and research here at CWU

CWU Writing Center

The Writing Center, a part of the Learning Commons, provides peer consultants who guide students toward communicating effectively in a global and diverse environment. They give constructive assistance to student writers at all skill levels at any point in their writing. Consultations last 30 to 50 minutes and offer writers a chance to discuss, develop, and revise their work in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Appointments are recommended, but drop-ins are welcome. To contact them, call 509-963-1270, send a message to tutoring@cwu.edu. Appointments may also be made on their website. They are located in the Academic and Research Commons (ARC) on the 1st floor of Brooks Library (make a left at the service desk). Open to all students --any level, any discipline -- free!

The Writing Center also has various handouts that are free for the taking. They also have various books on writing, grammar, and citation styles that students may use while in the center. Students may drop by and use the center to write or look through resource books at any time.
